Community Power Cornwall has been working with the Energy Society to enable a 51% Community Ownership stake in the Mably Solar Proposal.

The application was turned down by the Secretary of State in 2018 against the appeal inspectors recommendation for approval. The project may be reinvigorated once there is a change in the current Political direction.
This has been a particular disappointment for Community Power Cornwall as the innovative scheme design could have set the benchmark for future ground mounted solar PV developments, increasing ecological value and biodiversity whilst enabling clean energy generation and local ownership.
